European Bank for Reconstruction and Development allocated additional 20 million Euros for rehabilitation of the Enguri HPP

EBRD continues supporting energy sector of Georgia. Starting from 1998, the Bank’s financial support of the Enguri HPP has amounted to 48.5 million USD.

After the request of Georgian side, EBRD has allocated additional loan in amount of 20 million Euros for the remaining rehabilitation works on Enguri HPP. This loan finance rehabilitation of the 1st and 5th units and civil works.

The rehabilitation project will be co-financed by European Union Neighboring Investment Fund and European Investment Bank.
